The 5 Tools of “Yes, I can”:
- Intention - You need to have clear Intention to heal yourself and improve your life.
Pure intention followed by any action steps will bring desired changes in your life. This program will use many simple and easy techniques to build greater awareness of intention and build skills to move forward after intention is recognized and harnessed. - Patience – To improve our lives we must learn to be patient. Change does not happen overnight; even time needs some time. Many of the activities and techniques will help participants to slow down, be aware and build patient so that change and improvement is more sustainable in their lives.
- Persistence – Staying persistent with a decision to bring changes in our lives is critical to the change and improvement. Persistence pays off. During the sessions, participants will learn tools and techniques to “Stick with it” as change is hard but persistence makes perfect.
- Compassion - Having compassion is critical not only for others but also for ourselves. The Dalai Lama has taught us, if we want others to be happy, we need to practice compassion. If we want to be happy, we need practice compassion for ourselves. In the sessions, participants will look at the importance of compassion and how to develop it for others and for oneself.
- Gratitude – There is a great benefit to expressing gratitude for what you have, regardless of your circumstances. Nick Vujicic said:
“Often people ask how I manage to be happy despite having no arms and no legs. The quick answer is that I have a choice. I can be angry about not having limbs, or I can be thankful that I have a purpose. I chose Gratitude."
The benefits of having a daily practice of gratitude are well researched. Not only does practicing gratitude lead to more happiness, joy and success for the person practicing gratitude but it also leads to greater happiness and joy for those closest to you.
